About Jason Lee Grunder

Jason Lee Grunder grew up as a U.S. Air Force brat, moving every few years and finding consistency in the one thing that never changed – a good book.

His reading life started where a lot of genre readers' do: comic books, which gave way to novels, starting with The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Fantasy became a lens through which everything else made more sense. Before long he was the Dungeon Master in too many D&D campaigns to count, building worlds and populating them with characters his players would remember long after the campaign ended.

After enlisting in the Air Force himself, he spent years in aerospace before shifting to computers and software development – eventually becoming self-employed as a developer, a career he continues today.

It was becoming a grandfather that finally pushed him to stop talking about writing a book and actually write one. The Immortal Guardian Chronicles is the result – the story he had been carrying around for decades, finally on paper.

He lives in Michigan with his wife and a golden retriever who has strong opinions about his writing schedule, usually expressed through strategic toe-chewing.
